NetMessenger Migration

Hi!

You may know we recently launched a completely new version of our messaging interface, NetMessenger. From now on the system you may have been using prior to 2014 will be referred to as NetMessenger v1 and the new and improved version launched January 2014 has been designated NetMessenger v2.

If you are viewing this page it is most likely that your migration has been initiated by one of our operators. This means your account settings and credit balance will have been transferred to NetMessenger v2 and you will have been sent new login details to your registered email address – if you have not received these details please call us on 0800 954 5305.

As this is an entirely new system, you will need to create a link between your old and new accounts to transfer your account data including your contacts, groups, lists and templates. On this page you will find instructions and video demonstrations to do just that.

Before you begin, make sure you have your old login details – you’ll need them to set up the link! You should only have to do this once per session, making it easiest to do all this in one go.

When you’re ready, go to http://my.fastsms.co.uk/ and login with the new username and password you will have received by email for NetMessenger v2.

Migrating your Contacts & Groups

This video will show you how to transfer your contacts and groups to the new system by linking your old and new accounts. A full breakdown of instructions is below if you prefer.

Loading player…

  1. Select “Individuals” (NB: formally known as “Personal Contacts”) from the Contacts dropdown menu
  2. Click the “Migrate…” button to start migrating your contacts & groups
  3. Enter your old login details from NetMessenger v1 and click “Login”
  4. Select which Contacts & Groups you would like to migrate and click “Continue with import” IMPORTANT: Any contacts NOT selected will not be available in NetMessenger v2
  5. Your selected Contacts & Groups will have now been successfully imported.

NB: If you later decide you need contacts that were not migrated initially you will need to delete all your contacts in NetMessenger v2 to start again. (So please ensure you transfer everything you need in the first instance)

 

Migrating your Distribution Lists

IMPORTANT: Before you begin, please ensure any virtual mobile numbers have already been migrated by one of our operators by clicking here.

This video will show you how to transfer your distribution lists to the new system by linking your old and new account. A full breakdown of instructions is below if you prefer.

  1. Select “Distribution Lists” from the Contacts dropdown menu
  2. Click the “Migrate…” button to start migrating your contacts & groups
  3. Enter your old login details from NetMessenger v1 and click “Login”
  4. Select which Lists you would like to migrate and click “Continue with import” IMPORTANT: Any lists NOT selected will not be available in NetMessenger v2
  5. Your selected Distribution Lists will have now been successfully imported.

NB: If you later decide you need lists that were not migrated initially you will need to delete all your contacts in NetMessenger v2 to start again. (So please ensure you transfer everything you need in the first instance)

 

Migrating your Message Templates

This video will show you how to transfer your message templates to the new system by linking your old and new account. A full breakdown of instructions is below if you prefer.

  1. Select “Send SMS” from the main navigation menu
  2. Select “Manage templates” under the “insert…” button
  3. Click the “Migrate…” button to start migrating your message templates
  4. Enter your old login details from NetMessenger v1 and click ‘Login’
  5. Select which templates you would like to migrate and click “Continue with import” IMPORTANT: Any templates NOT selected will be unavailable in NetMessenger version 2
  6. Your selected Message Templates will have now been successfully imported.

NB: If you later decide you need templates that were not migrated initially you will need to delete all your contacts in NetMessenger v2 to start again. (So please ensure you transfer everything you need in the first instance)
